When Apple transitioned to Apple Silicon in 2020, millions of users were left wondering: "Will my favorite apps work on my new Mac?" We created Does It Mac to answer that question instantly.
Our goal is simple: provide accurate, up-to-date compatibility information for every app and game, so you can make informed decisions about your software before you buy or upgrade.
Evidence Labels
First-party tested
A Does It Mac team member ran the stated app version on the stated Mac and macOS version. The page publishes the test date, setup, method, and measurements that were actually recorded.
Community reported
A reader submitted a structured report that passed spam and moderation review. Moderation checks relevance and safety, but does not turn the report into a first-party test.
Named external source
The status comes from an official, partner, storefront, or other named source. It is useful discovery evidence, but it is not presented as hands-on testing by Does It Mac.
How It Works
Data Collection
We collect compatibility signals from official sources, community reports, and named third-party databases.
Verification
Only pages with enough evidence are published. Every page shows its source, date, and whether it was team tested, community reported, or externally sourced.
Daily Updates
Sources are checked regularly, but a sync date is never presented as a human verification date.
Understanding Compatibility
Native (ARM64)
The app has been rebuilt for Apple Silicon and runs natively. This provides the best performance and battery life.
Rosetta 2 / CrossOver / Parallels
The app works through a compatibility layer. Performance may vary, but most apps run well. CrossOver and Parallels require separate purchases.
Not Compatible
The app does not currently work on Apple Silicon Macs through any known method. This is often due to kernel-level anti-cheat or hardware requirements.
